Gibson SG Diablo Electric Guitar with Trem and Hardshell Case
The Gibson SG Diablo takes the classic design from 1961 to a new level. While maintaining the SG’s mahogany construction with its classic curves and contours, this updated version adds a carved arch to both the front and back of the body. This gives the guitar a three-dimensional appearance and enhances the contours and increase player comfort.
The 24.75-inch scale mahogany neck employs Gibson’s traditional round neck profile that fills out your fretting hand comfortably. A bound rosewood fingerboard is topped off with 24 jumbo frets for more luxurious bending and faster playability, and the additional 2 frets give you a little extra when you are soloing in the upper register.
Electronics include a pair of Gibson’s Burstbucker pickups—a No. 1 in the neck, and a No. 2 in the bridge—give the SG Diablo the subtle variations of true, vintage humbucker tone with historically unmatched bobbin windings and Alnico II magnets, just like the original PAFs of the late 1950s and early 1960s Gibsons. The Diablo’s controls have been simplified to one volume and one tone, in addition to the standard three-way switch. The volume control has also been moved closer to the bridge pickup for easy access and volume swells. A Gibson Tremolo and Gloss Black finish completes this one-of-a-kind SG. A Gibson hardshell case is included.
