The Gibson Melody Maker Explorer sports a satin finish which feels great and helps the instrument resonate and gives it a “worn-in” feel. The single Seymour Duncan HB-103 Ceramic pickup is a high output humbucking pickup that really cuts through the mix. The Mahogany neck features a torrified maple fretboard. Torrification is a high temperature wood treatment process that makes wood more stable and resistant, as well as enhance the grain and physical appearance; giving the wood a more rosewood-like aesthetic.
