Gibson Les Paul Studio Faded Electric Guitar with Deluxe Gibson Gig Bag

The Les Paul Studio Faded features a solid maple top on a chambered mahogany body. In an effort to reduce the potential excessive weight, portions of the mahogany body have been strategically scooped out to maximize comfort; as well as enhancing acoustic qualities and improving resonance. The addition of a maple top gives players the familiar tonewood combination that produces that classic Les Paul sound.

The vintage-style, “faded” worn finish gives the Les Paul Studio the look of a well-played vintage guitar. A quarter-sawn mahogany neck with a traditional 50s style full, rounded profile will feel great in your hands. This traditional style neck is adorned with a 12” radius rosewood fingerboard with the familiar trapezoid inlays that give the Les Paul its identity.

The Les Paul Studio Faded boasts a pair of Gibson Burstbucker Pro Pickups pickups delivering that powerful growling tone that you’ve come to expect from a Les Paul. I went in to buy strings. I saw my perfect guitar and couldn't leave without this thing. I bought the fireburst version. It doesn't have all the heavy finish treatments of the higher priced Les Pauls, but for me this is acutally a plus. I absolutely love the "raw" quality of this perfect finish. It feels like an older guitar straight out of the store. Some folks may need the bindings and exquisite finishes, but for me, this one is perfect. I could not belive I actually own a Gibson (which I never imiagined I could) for the price paid. Let's face it, everything the average person wants from a Les Paul is there in full force on this thing (except for maybe the high-gloss finish previously mentioned). I don't mean that this thing is poorly finished, mine is flawless. Guitars are totally subjective, but for me, for the money, a Gibson for the price of an Epiphone? What's there to complain about. Got it home and couldn't put it down. Feels so good and plays great! Also Bobby was awesome to deal with. He knew I wanted it, but let me come to that conclusion on my own. Thanks man.

My first Gibson guitar and I couldn't be happier! When you play it on a nice clean amp the sound quality is great. The only con is the g-string gets out of tune a lot, but its like that on a bunch of les pauls. Overall this is an outstanding guitar and gives you the most bang for your buck by gibson standards.

I bought this as my first electric guitar and could not be any happier with the product. I went into Sam Ash on 48th St in NYC to get a MIM Strat or Tele and I kept coming back to this guitar. I just could not get past how sweet the tone was but how with just a little gain the pickups could get a nice lite crunch which is just what I wanted. The neck seemed to be more comfortable in my hand (more than the MIM Strat). I don't claim to love Gibson or Fender but on the few days that I checked this guitar out it seemed to be a better choice for me (a beginner) given the amount I was willing to pay. I do still want to get a Strat (MIA) one day when I've developed more skill but this guitar will always be in my collection. The only con I have for this instrument is that it did come with a gig bag rather than a case. The gig bag it came with isn't the worst I've seen but I would have liked a more protective bag to come with it. I bought a "Gibson Gear" hard case for LP's which works rather nicely compared to the gig bag and I would strongly recommend to anyone who buys this guitar to do the same. I would also recommend that any instrument that you buy to have it set up first and not expect it to ship in a box or come out of the store already set up the way you like it. You cannot go wrong with this guitar.

It is a great eletric guitar. You can not buy anything cheaper than this with this hi quality. You can look for a Standard SG for 1200 bucks or a standard Les Paul for 3000 bucks... (The best of this guitar besides the great sound and price is the low weight, and your back say thank you!!)

i love this guitar, my only regrets are the pick ups, i will encourage you to get this guitar but while your at it or any time, get a new pair of pickups, i changed mine with dirtyfinger pickups and it sounds ALOT better than before

the sam ash description is not correct. these worn, natural, unfinished gibson studios do not have 490/498 pickups. they have burstbuckers. they also do not have a maple top. the gibson studios that cost about $1280 have the 490/498 and maple top, and have a darker, more resonant sound. these are still good but the lack of a maple top does seem to affect the sound, make it a little twangier. nonetheless, a cool guitar.

Pay More For Better LP or Buy an Epi

The satin finishes are horrible on these lower end LP Studios. Interesting enough it is only these 2 finishes @ $799.00. Pay more and get a better finish or get an Epiphone. Not a good playing or sounding LP. I wonder if others who reviewed played it? These satin finish LP Studios don't deserve Gibson label IMO.

Just on the reviews alone I walked into the store today and asked for the worn brown, paid for it and went home without even trying it. I got home and jammed until 1:00 in the morning. This guitar is awesome!! It sounds great and just feels right. I am glad I bought this. It is certainly worth more than I paid. GO FOR IT!!!

I just bought the "Brown" and I can't put it down. I plugged into an old 1941 Oahu amp and just loved the sound. I have a great new "toy"!!!! My only problem is that I have not seen my family for four days and Father's Day is coming up. I need to stop practicing and reintroduce myself again so maybe they will buy me a new strap.
