Gibson Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop Electric Guitar with Hardshell Case
The Gibson Les Paul Deluxe first appeared in the early 1970s and was immediately embraced by the rock world. This version of the legendary Les Paul guitar enjoyed an incredible run of popularity throughout the 70s and 80s. Legends like Pete Townshend have made iconic classic recordings with this guitar. Now, the beloved Les Paul Deluxe Goldtop Electric guitar has returned.
This Les Paul Deluxe retains all of its classic features as you remember them. The mahogany body is carefully carved using Gibson’s new chambering technique. The craftsmen at Gibson USA carve out carefully mapped-out chambers in the body using a Computer Numeric Controlled router which successfully enhance the overall tone and resonance. The weight is significantly reduced which maximizes player comfort. A carved maple top is finished in the unmistakable gold finish that put the Les Paul on the map back in 1952. The distinguishing feature of the Les Paul Deluxe is a pair of mini-humbucker pickups made with Alnico-II Magnets. These pickups posess similar characteristics of the original PAF humbuckers; but with narrower coils and slightly fewer turns of wire for a sharper sound.
A quarter-sawn mahogany neck is carved to a comfortably rounded tapered 50s style profile that measures .818" deep at the 1st fret and .963" at the 12th. It is capped with a premium Grade-A rosewood fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets and a radius of 12" for easy playability and smooth effortless string-bending. The Gibson Les Paul Deluxe comes in a protective Gibson hardshell case.
