The Gibson Flying V Faded Electric Guitar retains its legendary look with a set mahogany neck on a solid mahogany body carved onto that unmistakable iconic shape. This tried and true tonewood provides tone, sustain, and performance. The vintage-style, “faded” worn finish gives this Flying V the look of a well-played vintage guitar and is available in satin ebony, satin white, and worn cherry. The neck on Gibson’s V Faded has a hybrid between the ’50s rounded contour and the ’60s slim-taper profile for maximum player comfort.
This new rendition of a legendary design carries high-output humbucking pickups: a 496R in the neck position and a 500T in the bridge. These ceramic magnet pickups deliver everything from heavy crunch to wailing lead tones with endless sustain that modern metal-players demand, while achieving sweet tonal nuances when desired. A control array of two independent volume knobs and a master tone, along with Gibson's traditional three-way toggle switch, allow you to shape your tone. Hardware included vintage-style tuners and the classic Tune-o-Matic bridge/stop tailpiece combo that Gibson made an industry standard. A deluxe Gibson gig bag is included.
