The Firebird Studio is heavily based on the original with a more streamlined look. The solid maple neck set into a mahogany body, maximizing sustain and resonance. The neck has been carved into a comfortable slim profile for high-velocity soloing, and a 22-fret Baked Maple fingerboard tops it all off. The electronics schematic is a slight variation on the classic Firebird formula. The Firebird Studio '70s Tribute Electric Guitar boasts a pair of newly redesigned mini humbucking pickups, delivering that powerful tone that you’ve come to expect from Gibson. The redesigned pickup features a new magnet and pole-piece configuration featuring dual steel blades and a single Alnico V magnet, which will deliver higher output than previous mini humbucking pickups, yet retains a vintage voice with plenty of chime.
