Gibson 1960 SG Custom Classic
As the successor to Gibson's original “Fretless Wonder,” the SG Custom's looks signified a new class of Gibson luxury when it was first introduced in 1960. With its classic white finish and compliment of gold plated parts, mother-of-pearl inlays and decorative trim the SG Custom is clearly part of Gibson’s distinguished Custom class. The Historic SG Custom faithfully reproduces the original model’s most vital features - the sculptured mahogany body and Gibson’s great “slim taper” neck. The three ’57 Classic pickups offer a combination of soaring leads, funky mid-tones and fat rhythm sounds. A classic for 30 years, nothing looks or sounds like an SG Custom. It is a natural for any Historic Collection. This model has been discontinued and will become a much sought after collectors item much like its predecessors.

"This is the axe! I own 31 guitars including other LPs and PRS guitars. This is the one I play. Tone wise, it goes from fat to flat out scream. Playability wise, the neck is so thin and easy to play everyone will play better with this thing. I can't believe it's being obsoleted soon. For the money - you can't go wrong! It will appreciate in the future as well. What an investment!"

"i've owned 60/61 lp custom reissue for a few months... and now i won't even touch my other guitars!incredible tone, playable neck, and being extremely light in physical wieght it is a god send. it's unreal that this axe just out perfoms every other axe that comes my way inc. PRS and other Gibson models! this light wieght beauty has a nice fat tone when crankin' through a valve amp like an eighteen wheeler smashin' through a brick wall! unstoppable sound!"
