The Gibson Les Paul Standard 1968 Tom Scholz Collectors Choice #10 is a replica of Boston guitarist Tom Scholz' Les Paul, handbuilt by the Gibson Custom Shop. His 1968 Les Paul Deluxe, which has been used on many of his band's recordings, has been modified to a great extend: thus, the original gold top finish has been removed in order to show the plain maple top. Further, the bridge pickup has been replaced with the DiMarzio Super Distortion humbucker which instantly gives you the trademark sound that was so identifiable with Tom Scholz.
