Gibson Custom SG Standard Reissue with Maestro vibrato VOS Electric Guitar with Case
The Gibson SG Standard Reissue VOS (Vintage, Original Specifications): A perfect reproduction of the SG Standard of the early 1960s.
From the time of its introduction and well into the 1970s the SG has been the most popular Gibson solid body guitar with good reason: Its 22 fret mahogany neck in a slim taper profile is known as "the fastest neck in the world." Its double cutaway and virtually non-existent heel makes access to the highest frets very easy. Its unmatched tone and sustain are pure Gibson.
The SG Standard Reissue with Maestro tailpiece VOS, is a faithful reproduction of the original, featuring the original lyre-engraved Maestro vibrato tailpiece, white trapezoidal inlays, single ply creme binding along the fingerboard, and a Burstbucker 1 pickkup at the neck position and a Burstbucker 2 pickup at the bridge. It comes complete with a Gibson Custom hardshell case and a certificate of authenticity.

History
In the late 1950s Gibson president Ted McCarty decided to redesign the company’s solid body guitar as Les Paul sales had begun to stagnate. The first use of the name “SG” actually surfaced on a Gibson guitar in late 1959 with the introduction of the SG Special – a double cutaway model with rounded horns that had previously been listed as a Les Paul. From 1961 to 1963, the SG was known as the "redesigned" Les Paul, since then it has been the SG. Eventually the SG became the most popular Gibson– a distinction that still holds true today.
