This snare incorporates some of the more distinctive features of both their “Revolution” and “Perimeter Venting System” snare drums. It has an 8-ply maple shell with 8-ply reinforcement hoops and an interior coating of Revolution Brass. The brass helps give this drum a crisp, sharp sound that is bright and articulate while the maple shell provides a fat, warm, resonance that’s often missing in “metal only” drums. This drum also has a Nickel-Steel exterior coating to not only give it a sleek look, but added projection.

This drum also incorporates the “Perimeter Venting System” where 10 small holes are drilled through the bottom bearing edge and then vented out the side of the shell for maximum impact and sensitivity.
