These are fantastic cabinets for mids and high's. I use 4 of these with my pair of Cerwin Vega AB-36c Subwoofers. Plenty of range and an unmistakable clairity. However, this speaker would probably not be good for DJ or performance standing alone. It was designed to operate with it's 18 inch EV sub counterpart or something like I'm running so maybe a larger cabinet would give you more range if you are running a small set up or just starting out. Great speakers though.

As a singer I need the details and dynamics of my voice to come through. I'm not a screamer,yet I want a big live type of sound as I sing ballads and American Jazz. These do the trick! Excellent for singing as well as DJ functions, I would recommend you go into the store and listen for yourself.

"I don't know how EV did it but the hi-end just seem to make its way to the middle of the room. I'm lovin' these cabinets. Made very well. Not too heavy, I think they weight about 45 lbs. You'll love that at the end of the night."
