Fender Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Vintage Tweed Case
The Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster is a unique instrument designed for a unique player. Yngwie discovered the great feel of the scalloped fingerboard while working in a guitar repair shop on a 17th century lute. His Yngwie Malmsteen Stratocaster features that scalloped fingerboard with 21 Super-Jumbo Dunlop 6000 frets for exacting intonation and expression. This is the one instrument suitable for the Paganini of the electric guitar. The fingerboard comes in either rosewood or maple mounted on a modern "C" shaped maple neck finished with nitrocellulose laquer and featuring a bullet truss rod nut and machine screw neck mounting.
A trio of Seymour Duncan STK-S10 YJM Fury Stack pickups supply the powerful tone that Yngwie prefers. The stacked pickup configuration pickup combines very well with overdrive pedals and amp distortion because its sound is clean and will not muddy up the pedal or amp sounds. You get all the classic Strat sounds without the 60 cycle hum.
The electronics include a three position switch (position 1 for bridge pickup, position 2 for middle pickup, and position 3 for neck pickup) a master volume control and two "no load" tone controls that let you set the pure tone of your pickups to go straight to you amps and effects with no resistance or coloration.
The body is made of premium alder with a Vintage White urethane body finish. Equipped with a brass nut, Fender vintage "F" style tuners and an American Vintage Synchronized Tremolo. Comes with cable, strap and a vintage tweed case.
