[...] my local music store has one of these on the sales floor. If you are accustomed to the high quality that Fender puts into its case made by G & G, this ""case""/stand is right up there. I am very biased toward Fender products because of the recent decision on their part to put their wide range of products into well defined categories so the purchasor can make a decision on what ""level"" they want to buy at. For example, if you want a strat and are just a beginner, you can focus on the Squier line of products. If you are a collector, the Custom Shop is truly amazing. Now, back to the case/stand. Beautiful, well-made studio stand. My only issue is the high cost of this item. If you have the money to throw around, just buy it, but remember this is a STUDIO stand. Tweed does not hold up even in the studio. I would hate to buy this and see immediate pulls and tugs on the tweed, which could happen as you are taking it out of the box, just like my tweed case I got with my Clapton Strat. Also, keep the cats away. The tweed seems to be a nice material for a scatching post (I found out the hard way). In the end, upon making a decision to puchase a stand for my guitars, I found that the Flightcase stand, [...], to be rock solid and the better decision. Why would a person buy a studio stand when they need a Flightcase for gigs. [...] As I said above, if you have the money, buy the Fender case. It is great. I only want to offer you an alternative if you are looking for a professional stand. Yes, the flightcase is heavier because it is made of steel and aluminum, but you won't worry when you drop the case by accident and all you might see is a scratch. [...] Maybe after this review, they will look into professional stands since the ones that hold up to 7 guitars by Rockstand are not sturdy enough to make me feel as comfortable as I do with my Flightcase."
