This Stratocaster features an alder body with the legendary ‘comfort contour’ design that was way ahead of its time. This Stratocaster offers a slight departure from the traditional 3 single-coil pickup schematic by adding a high output Fender Humbucker in the bridge position. You still get those clear, bell-like, bright Strat tones that were the driving force behind an endless list of guitar legends, but you also get the added option of a scorching bridge humbucker that will meet the demands of the modern hard rock players. A parchment colored pickguard adds an old school vibe to this modern day classic. This updated Standard Stratocaster is available with a gloss finish maple neck in either a 1-piece solid maple or with a rosewood fingerboard. Standard appointments include 21 medium jumbo frets on a slightly flatter 9.5” fingerboard radius.The flatter radius facilitates easier, cleaner string bending and faster action. A vintage-style synchronized tremolo with a high-mass bridge block for increased tone and sustain completes the package.
