Fender Standard Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Gig Bag

This guitar is fabulous. The sound quality for the price is fantastic. The guitar also looks beautiful.

I love this guitar. It never stops amazing me, i really like the single coil pickups, it has a really easily playable fretboard (i have maple, its what i prefer) and of course it looks great. they also are just as good as their American counter parts (trust me a friend of mine has an american and liked the sound of mine just as much as his)This guitar is my baby, the only reason it didnt get 5 stars is because i cant say it is "perfect" but it is a great guitar for the price! i play everything from 90's alternative and grunge to 60s and 70s rock like Hendrix and Led Zeppelin on it, sounds great.

As the title says, it's a classic. You don't get much more traditional Rock n' Roll than the Fender Stratocaster. It has its distinct feel and sound.
Made in Mexico, yeah, but if you swap out the electronics for something more to one's taste, these guitars can do whatever you want them to do.
I personally am waiting to put the David Gilmour EMG set and add an Afterburner in place of the volume pot to have a much more extreme tone available to me, as well as the classic Strat sound.
I use my Strat as a studio guitar, in contrast to a number of much more heavy metal style guitars I own. I have my metal sounds, and then I have this for playing my favorite Pink Floyd and Clapton tunes. It doesn't get the same bottom heaviness as my high output Humbucker guitars do, but the sound it does get is still a great sound in its own right.
I play it through a Blackstar HT Stage 100 head, and I think it sounds great, especially considering the price of the guitar-amp combination.
Bluesy, Jazzy, Rockin', Funky, Reggae, this thing can do just about anything you throw at it... except for metal, as I said before.

Play it through a tube amp and you will get great sounds. When playing it clean it lacks a little tone. Modify with Vodoo pickups and you will love it.

This guitar is known as a Mexican Strat on the streets, but the quality is very good for the money. I suggest using Fender Bullets strings because they do sound really good with the strat. The only issue I have is the weight. It is a heavy guitar and I had to get a shoulder pad for my guitar strap. The tone this guitar has amazes me.

Amazing guitar.

I was in the Sam Ash - I bought the MIM (made in mex), sunburst standard strat with maple neck. This was the first one I pulled off the wall.

I plugged it in good amps - It sounded too good, so I plugged it into an average amp. Man - I was becoming convinced!

I loved it.
I then picked up an HSS standard MIM - didn't like the feel, but the tone was nice.
I picked up an American made standard (MIA) - thought the MIM sounded better and played better. huh? I then Played a tex-mex (MIM)- the one I chose sounded and played better. I tried the 49th st - nope. I kind dug the ivory ones so I tried different standard MIM strats - it just wasn't as good.

I couldn't believe it. It goes to show there is variance between the "same" guitars. I am sure the american made sounded better than some of the MIM guitars I found -and some MIM sounded better than otehr MIMs? I GOT LUCKY I GUESS.

The tone? Like liquid,
The action? Flawless.
I have been playing RG550's >20 yrs - never played or owned a strat - I have crossed over! WOW!
