The select ash body is paired with a Flame Maple Top which immediately sets the Select Telecaster apart from the rest of the pack. The vintage looking Violin Burst finish accentuates the grain of the flame maple. The ash body is also chambered to maximize tonality and resonance, as well as provide weight relief. You also get all the traditional Telecaster appointments that made the Tele such an iconic instrument. The Select Telecaster is equipped with a pair of Fender® Select Single Coil Pickups and a 3-Position Blade switch that deliver the classic Telecaster tones. The 1-piece lacquered neck is made from Birdseye maple. A 9.5"-14" compound radius fingerboard allows clean, effortless string bending anywhere along the neck, without the worry of your notes “fretting out” as you go into the upper registers. The fingerboard radius becomes more curved as you move closer to the nut, allowing for easier chord voicings. The hardware is available in either nickel/chrome or gold and includes Deluxe staggered cast/sealed locking tuning machines and an American Telecaster bridge with New American Standard bent steel saddles and stamped brass plate.
