The Fender Select Jazz Bass employs the finest woods available to bring you this stunning new P Bass. An alder body features Fender’s classic body contours and the famous Jazz Bass Offset waist, paired with a Flame Maple Top which immediately sets this Jazz Bass apart from the rest of the pack. The vintage style Amber Burst gloss-lacquer finish accentuates the grain of the Flame Maple Top. Fender retained their legendary uncomplicated electronics by outfitting the Select Jazz Bass with specially voiced Fender Select pickups to deliver the classic tone that made the Jazz Bass the gold standard by which all other basses are judged by. A lacquered maple neck and fretboard with a modern 9-1/2" radius and medium-jumbo frets maximize comfort and playability. The quartersawn maple neck features a rosewood fingerboard with 20 frets and that legendary Jazz Bass tapered width. The profile is a comfortable modern “C” shaped and boasts Posiflex™ graphite support rods, a satin lacquer backfinish and rear-headstock “Fender Select” medallion. The 9.5"-14" compound radius fingerboard maximizes ease of playability. White pearloid block position inlays add a wonderful aesthetic touch to this bass. Other premium features include a three-ply pickguard (parchment-black-parchment), High-Mass Vintage bridge (top-loading or strings-through-body), Fender/Hipshot® vintage-style tuners with tapered shafts, black Jazz Bass knobs, “stealth” string retainer and nickel-chrome hardware.
