The Fender Robert Cray Artist Stratocaster is for players who want to sing the blues, but don't want to pay a lot to do it. The Robert Cray Stratocaster features three Fender Custom Shop Vintage Single coil Strat Pickups with a 5 position blade selector switch. Tone controls are wired with tone 1 for the neck pickup and tone 2 for the middle pickup. The bridge pickup is unadulterated by tone control ciruitry. The voicing is pure Robert Cray blues. The bridge is a Custom Shop vintage hardtail bridge (no tremolo) for perfect intonation always.
The alder body has a light polyurethane finish that lets it breathe and ages beautifully. The 1960s "C" shaped maple neck has a rosewood fingerboard with 21 medium jumbo frets for easy string bending. The headstock features Fender/Ping Vintage Style tuners and has Robert Cray's signature on the front.
