Upgraded and hot-rodded! The Highway One series gets upgraded in full force! Super-sized frets, new Alnico-3 pickups, and new colors take this amazing guitar to the next level. The new Hot Strat pickups create a rounder sound that can sound glassy or great with high gain. The thin satin nitrocellulose lacquer finish still lets the natural tone of the body wood shine through, and when coupled with the upgrades above, creates one of the most exciting U.S. made instruments in the Fender line! Additional features include an alder body, modern C shape maple neck with rosewood or maple fingerboard, Fender/Ping tuners, a vintage Tele 3-saddle bridge, and a Greasebucket tone circuit. Includes gig bag.

I've been playing for over 40 years and this guitar is an absolute pleasure. The pickup selections are all very different and quite useful. It has plenty of Tele twang, the middle position is rich and glassy and the neck pickup approaches strat territory, roll back the tone knob and you'll have a great jazz tone. The neck is perfect for me, not to fat, not to thin and the satin finish is so smooth, it's just an effortless guitar to play.

I've been playing guitar for about 5 years now and I wanted to get something to compliment my Epiphone Les Paul. I walked into Sam Ash and picked up a Standard Tele ($500 model), this was miles ahead. Overall, this was the best guitar I could find for the money. A highway one strat is probably comparable but I'm not a huge fan of them. Eventually, I might replace the pickups but I'm in no real hurry. Don't bother spending any more money on any other telecaster, trust me this is worth it. I play mostly indie music by the way and this easily works. My only warning is if you play metal this guitar probably isn't for you unless you're going for a unique tone.

This guitar is a tremendous value for the money, considering it's American Made. It is lightweight with a 9.5" neck radius, which makes it easy to play. Nothing flashy in appearance, put the pickups give off traditional tele twang. This guitar can be used for a variety of music, although I don't know about heavy metal, since I don't play that type of music. This guitar will probably get better and better. One recommendation, change the 9 strings to 10. More tone and sustain.

so i was looking around for a tele for a long time. i played an american standard, liked it, but wasnt impressed enough to buy it. than i saw this silky smooth blond tele hanging on the wall and i ran over immediately. this thing rocks. original pick ups are very well made and everybodys right, the neck is flawless. i have a fender frontman 65r, not the BEST amp but im still saving up, and the tele makes it sound professional. highway one is the greatest thing to come out of fender. buy this guitar. now. go do it!

I have been playing guitar for 31 years, and have owned dozens of axes. This was the first tele I ever bought simply because it had 22 frets. Had to change the pickups to Seymour Duncan's quarter pound STR-3"s This thing screams with incredible sustain. And it almost plays itself, felt like a old friend when I first picked it up. She has a great neck,c shape fits wonderfully for me. I play blues and blues rock, this thing can cover it all.
