The Highway One Strat features three hot single coil Fender pickups with Alnico 3 magnets for a great classic Stratocaster tone. The middle pickup is reverse wound/reverse polarity to cancel any 60 cycle hum you may encounter (set the 5 position selector switch to positions 2 or 4 for this). The electronics feature Fender's Greasebucket tone circuit that rolls off the highs without adding (and muddying) the bass for a deep clear Stratocaster tone. The exclusive Comfort Contour body is alder and designed for long sessions of easy playing. It has a satin nitrocellulose laquer finish that lets the beauty of the guitar and the sound characteristics of the body shine through.
