From his gigs with Dylan, Bowie, Hall & Oates, as well as his long-standing run as Saturday Night Live bandleader, Smith is a master, and this unique namesake instrument combines a vintage '40s-era lap steel with a '50s-era Telecaster! The Fender G.E. Smith Telecaster has a premium Ash body loaded with 2 original vintage Tele pickups. The body-mounted bridge pickup gives this Tele a darker output with more snap. The 1-piece Maple neck has an extra deep "U" shape design, a Maple fingerboard with 21 vintage-style frets and lap steel inlays for a unique look.
