[...] It does the job on the banjo fairly well (but not great)[...] BUT when I tried to use it on my acoustic it was a disatser. The curved shape only causes the strings to go blah blah blah on my acoustic.

I heard that Fender made some better tweaks from the first batch of these they made. I've had mine for a while now and its held up beautifully. The best thing is how fast I can change positioning or take it off.

It's a Capo, and it's very easy to take on and off. It's not like when you put it on your going to turn into Jimmy Page or anything, but it will allow you to change your key very fast. I use it all the time when I gig and it hasn't failed me yet (I've had it for more than a year!

If you're looking for something that will last for more than a month, then this isn't the right capo for you! I bought mine in December, and it was worn out by the end of February! It works ok on electric guitars, but sounds terrible on acoustics! Save your time and money!! (I was suprised, normally FENDER makes good stuff!)
