Fender Eric Johnson Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Deluxe Blonde Hardshell Case
Eric Johnson worked closely with Fender Custom Shop luthier Michael Frank-Braun for years to bring you the Fender Eric Johnson Artist Series Statocaster. Based on a 1957 Stratocaster, but with electronics painstakingly developed by Eric and the Fender Custom Shop, this is one beautiful solid body electric guitar. The pickups are specially voiced Eric Johnson Single Coils, which use new wire material and special winding techiques that Eric and Michael developed over 19 separate prototypes. Tone controls are wired to the neck and bridge pickups (instead of the usual arrangement with one tone control for the bridge and the other for the neck and middle pickups together) -- another Eric Johnson modification. The 5 position pickup selector has the modern arrangement with position 1 for the bridge pickup, 2 for the bridge and middle combined, 3 for the middle alone, 4 for the middle and neck pickup combined, and 5 for the neck pickup alone. The 1 piece quartersawn maple neck is the soft "V" shape found on the Eric Clapton Stratocaster and is similar to the neck shape of CF Martin guitars. It has a 12 inch radius maple fret board with 21 highly polished medium jumbo frets, black dot position inlays, and a nitrocellulose neck finish. The guitar has a vintage stlye 2 piece alder body with a Custom Shop thin nitrocellulose lacquer finish. Additional features include staggered vintage style machine heads, thus eliminating the need for a string tree, custom pickups with countersink screws and wound to Eric's specifications, and highly contoured body and neck. It comes with a single ply parchment '57 style pickguard, and a Vintage Tremolo with 4 tremolo springs, silver painted block, and '57 style string recess with no paint between base plate and the block. It is available in four different finish options, including White Blonde, Two-Color Sunburst, Candy Apple Red and Black. All this comes in a Deluxe Blonde hardshell case with black ends and a rich black interior. It also includes a strap, cable, and an "Ash Tray" bridge cover. Eric Johnson and the Fender Custom Shop's Michael Frank-Braun have created a guitar for you with unique voicing and gorgeous details. Let us send you yours today! You won't be disappointed.
