Fender Deluxe Players Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Deluxe Gig Bag
Back in the day, Fender made a guitar called the “Super Strat.” It had special “Super Strat” pickups and a little button on the pickguard that activated additional pickup combinations. Well, the Super Strat is no more. But lucky for you, the spirit of that guitar has been reborn, as the Deluxe Players Stratocaster! Fender calls it “a true workhorse,” and that’s just what it is—an axe you can count on to perform, in any playing situation, for years to come. It’s one good-looking guitar, we can tell you that. With a sleek ash body, and the perfect complement of finishes, from Sapphire Blue and Crimson Red Transparent, which beautifully show off the wood beneath, to sweet Honey Blonde and a gorgeous 3-Color Sunburst. The hardware is gold-toned, which, along with the classy tortoise-shell pickguard, really adds to the Deluxe Players Strat’s already rich looks. The modern C-shaped maple neck, with a choice of maple or rosewood fretboards, completes the mighty pretty picture. Like we said, it’s good looking! As good as it looks, what’s really deluxe about this Strat is the way it sounds. Equipped with American-made Vintage Noiseless™ pickups that delivers just what the name promises: all that ringing vintage Stratocaster clarity and definition, with none of the noise that annoys. Every generation of Fender pickups has taken another step closer to perfection, and these pups are more than just “noiseless,” they’re pretty much flawless! Which brings us to the Deluxe Players Strat’s secret weapon. Nested between the knobs is an innocent-looking button that turns the Deluxe Player Stratocaster into a multi-tonal monster. When you push it, you activate the bridge pickup when the 5-way switch is in positions 4 and 5—giving you a grand total of seven pickup combinations! So what does a Strat sound like when all three pickups are firing? You’ll have to pick up a Deluxe Player Stratocaster of your own to find out. A deluxe gig bag is included.
