Fender Dave Murray Stratocaster Electric Guitar with Vintage Tweed Hardshell Case
Dave Murray has been a Strat Player since the '70s. He is very specific about what he wants in his ax and worked very closely with Fender on this new signature model, base on his own 1957/63 Stratocaster (1957 alder body and 1963 maple neck) previously owned by Paul Kossoff of Free. With a supercharged HSH configuration, Dave’s Strat features a Dimarzio® PAF® 36th Anniversary DP103 neck pickup, and a Dimarzio®Super Distortion® DP100 bridge pickup coupled with a Fender vintage style middle pickup, a lacquer finish, and a flatter soft “V” shape neck with satin back similar to the Clapton Strat and Martin acoustic guitars. Dave keeps the pickup switching simple with a 3 position switch with position 1 for the bridge, position 2 for the middle, and position 3 for the neck pickup.
