The American Vintage '70s Stratocaster Reissue is a hybrid featuring the best elements of the classic Stratocasters of the 1970s. The body is ash on the natural finish models, giving you the beauty of the ash wood grain with a sound that subtly emphasizes high and low tones. In the white finish models the body is alder, the most popular material for Stratocaster guitars over the years. Both versions have a gloss urethane finish. The American Vintage '70s Stratocaster Reissue maple neck is U-shaped with improved three-bolt mounting and Micro Tilt™ neck adjustment, ’70-’71 vintage-correct bridge, “Diamond Head ‘F’” tuners and specially voiced Vintage Style Strat pickups with Alnico V magnets. Pickup switching is the simple 3 position switch (position 1 for bridge, 2 for middle, and 3 for neck pickup) of the era, but there is included 5 position upgrade kit, so that you can easily select a combination of middle and bridge or middle and neck pickup combinations for humbucking characteristics. The chrome hardware of the American Vintage '70s Strat Reissue includes Vintage "F" style tuners and a Vintage Style Synchronized Tremolo with a chrome bridge cover. Other features include the unmistakable large headstock, ’70s-style decal and bullet truss rod adjustment nut.
