The simple schematic of one volume, one tone control, and 3-way pickup selector has spanned the entire 60 years of the Telecaster’s existence: proving that a good thing should never be messed with. Fender has improved on this classic formula with a Delta-tone™ no-load circuit. The no-load tone pot works like a standard tone knob from positions 1-9, but at 10, it is removed from the wiring completely so that you get the full, unadulterated sonic output of your pickup. It means more output and more treble without using a booster pedal or active controls. The maple neck has the classic vintage tint and is available with a maple or rosewood fingerboard. The fretboard boasts a more updated 9.5” radius and medium jumbo frets, which make for more luxurious string bending. The profile is a comfortable modern C-shape, with a satin finished back and rolled edges. The chrome hardware includes modern staggered tuners for better string angle across the nut, an American Standard Bridge Plate with a brass plate) for improved resonance, and 6 individual bent steel saddles.
