I normally don’t bother leaving reviews. But I recently bought this guitar and couldn’t help myself. I’m a fender man…have an American Fat Strat for years. I wanted something new and when I tried this at the store I couldn’t keep my hands off it. As if the Strat isn’t the easiest guitar to play, this guitar defiantly out does it! The action is the best out there. I never played a guitar with the neck this thin. I write music in a band called The Stone Mile. You can find my stuff at [@] . What I like about this guitar is not only its amazing feel and slick look, but that it is so versatile. With the noiseless pickups and the s-1 switching I’ve been writing music for my latest album that stems from blues to literally down tuned heavy metal. When u put the switch at its middle position and hit the S-1 switch you get a humbucker fat sound. This guitar is my favorite out of all my collections of American Strats and Gibson Les Paul standards. Unfortunately there was a recent price hike but other than that it’s a keeper!

I own a lot of guitars(Rickenbacker, Epis, Gibson Les Paul, PRS, Strats n Teles, Ibanez, Dean, Eastwood). I have wanted this guitar for some time. I got the Aged Cherry finish which is beautiful. I plugged this thing in to my Vox Ac-15 and was blown away! Tone Tone Tone...the epitome of Tele sound. It makes sound better than I actually am at playing! LOL Controls are solid. Comfortable...I love the contoured body, the finish is amazing. I told my wife that I may just go ahead and sell my other guitars because I don't think I'll ever pick them up again!I [...]

I play this constantly, and would never be able to bring myself to get rid of it. I actually have last years model, so if it somehow changed for the worse, don't blame me. It makes my 50$ practice amp sound good, just to give you some Idea of the quality of this guitar

Love this guitar, just bought it. Beautiful finish, and the binding only makes it better. Pickups are fantastic and give the classic bright tele tone but not the classic hum when you crank the distortion. I was skeptical about the S-1 switching at first, but as I played around with it and used it on different amps, I've come to realize how great it is. Neck is really to my liking, a bit thick with some substance to it (but still fast and smooth). The tone I was looking for when I was shopping for guitars I found in the bright bridge pickup with distortion, but the clean tones on this guitar blow me away. Unbelievable. You won't be disappointed.

I bought this same guitar in 2003 and they had a two-toned alder body which is absolutely beautiful.

Unfortunately, two-tone color is not available. Fender's closest is a tri-color, which is very nice, but a bit repetitive and boring.

Everything about this guitar is first class. Very detailed USA made product. S-1 switch is not an issue. I would not miss it if it was not there.

String gauge is .09 thru .46.

I try to find reasons to buy additional guitars. I bought my second Telecaster, a '52 reissue because the workmanship was beautiful, the product was sturdy and the gauge of the strings is set at .10 thru .52.

I own 7 Fender electrics, two of which are telecasters.

If I could only offer you one piece of advise on purchasing any guitar it is this- look and play it at the store. Order the guitar online or order a NEW, UNOPENED product. You deserve to be the first consumer to touch it, not the hundred or so kids that come into the store and play a $1200 guitar and can't afford a set of strings.

Buy several sets of strings in the gauge you prefer, but try to stick with what came on the new guitar. Brands of strings are personal to the player. I am a big Ernie Ball fan and I wouldn't plug that guitar in until I stripped off all the junk strings they ship with it.

You will notice that the set of strings you just took off are different in color due to aging or corrosion. NOW YOUR GUITAR IS BRAND NEW.

This is the level of guitar that a professional would purchase and make minor (if any) adjustments to the overall set-up. It's just that good of a guitar.
