Epiphone SG Special Electric Guitar (Assorted Colors)

From prog to punk, the SG is one of the industry's most popular guitar designs. The body is made from alder and maple laminate, with a maple neck and rosewood fingerboard. A pair of open coil humbuckers deliver the same tones that have launched countless rock recordings through the years. Plus this SG features a kill switch lurking in the tone pot, as well as a custom pickguard. Additional features include an adjustable bridge with stoptail, and vintage style tuners. Case not included.

I love my Epiphone SG Special, and I've been playing since '68. And I own a Fender Strat and Rickebacker 360, and I'm still very partial to this guitar. I love the way it feels in my hand and the warm full range of tones it delivers; not as bright as a Telecaster or Strat, but with much better midrange than either. It's 85% the player anyway, and I'd put this SG up against pretty much anything on stage. I think you get a lot more for your money than with Squier.

I used to think SGs were not cool. I always thought Les Pauls were the bomb. Then I tried it out and thought it was cool. I got it for my birthday then. I like Les Pauls and SGs equally.

I've never been a fan of the SG, but my son has wanted one for a couple of years. I bought him the red Epiphone SG Special for his birthday this weekend. We may be fighting over this guitar because it is a blast to play! I was pleasantly surprised by the tone on this guitar. The neck is thin and very fast and smooth. The finish is beautiful and I haven't found a blemish on it. "Cheap" guitars just keep getting better and better.

This guitar is the best instrument I've ever owned in the last 30 years! I play mostly late 60's rock and pop through a Line 6 amp and the action, tones and stamina make the Buffalo Springfield, Cream, Stones and Beatles come alive again! I would highly recommend this guitar to all my fellow players!

This guitar is really worth buying and it really sounds good. One day i was tuning mine and played Iron Man on it and it sounded like the actual tone Iommi used for the song! I use Ernie Ball Power Slinky Strings on mine and it sounds awsome it really gives me the heavy metal sound. I seriously recommend this guitar for anybody.
