In an effort to reduce potential excessive weight; portions of the mahogany body have been strategically scooped out to maximize comfort; as well as enhancing acoustic qualities and improving resonance. The Epiphone Les Paul Ultra PRO Electric Guitar continues the Les Paul legend and tradition of quality and performance that is stronger than ever after 6 decades.

To preserve the tradition of unsurpassed tone, the Les Paul PlusTop PRO Electric Guitar is outfitted with a pair of ProBucker humbucking pickups. The Epiphone ProBucker is patterned after the Gibson's BurstBucker that features unevenly wound coils that replicate that original late 1950’s "Patent Applied for" sound that became the rock & roll standard for tone. These Alnico II equipped pickups deliver the sounds of decades past, yet capable of the most up to the minute tones that will satisfy the demand of modern players. The electronics are completed by the traditional layout of two separate volume and tone controls for each pickup. The volume controls feature a push/pull coil-tapping system to further expand the tonal versatility of this Les Paul, along with a three-way switch.

A mahogany neck is carved to a comfortably slim tapered 60s style profile. The neck is capped with 22 medium jumbo frets, a rosewood fingerboard with pearloid trapezoid inlays, and a radius of 12" for easy playability and smooth effortless string-bending.

All the glory of yesteryear is preserved, while retaining a look and feel that’s contemporary as ever. The Ultra PRO is available in 2 stunning finishes: Faded Cherry Sunburst w/ gold hardware, or Vintage Sunburst w/ Nickel hardware.
