This guitar is outstanding.
I wanted to buy a guitar that was cheap, and sounded good to practice on, so I didn't break my stage guitar. I got the guitar, up at the store. I took it home, and played it. I soon found out. It's amazing! I almost wanna make it my stage guitar. It is a good size, light weight, sounds great, and is not to expensive!
I would STRONGLY recommend this to anytime of player!

Everything about this guitar is awesome, but the sound, not so much.

P.S. the amp cord that comes with this stinks! Had to buy a new one in the first week.

This was my second guitar ever, when i first bought this guitar i was amazed i bought this when i was playing for a year, i played about every single song to learn here and i even wrote my own songs, i used this for about 3 years

First things first this is an amazing guitar exspecially for a beginner. This was my first realy 6 string. I love it man i like my Telecaster that my uncle made and gave me better but thats a different story. This is a beginner's Les Paul. I hate seeing kids who barely even know how to play having a Gibson. When you learn you need an Epiphone. If you want a Les Paul get this. You're trying to learn and if you want to play this is good for show. Play it through a Peavey Vyper and you're in beginner's Paradise at home. The Humbuckers on it aren't that bad just ne sure to use them both every time you play or at least click them cause if you don't the one you wont use will go out for a second. But this is a fun guitar. If you get good enough you may end up gettin a guitar worth a few grand like me. But just have fun this IS a good guitar. You can play just about anything on this guitar like i do. Rock Metal Blues ETC that's how the Les Paul rolls fellows.

This it a good starter guitar,it would be good first for someone looking to start playing. Personaly I dont like the rounded edge look where a Gibson or more expensive Epiphone is flat so to me it doesnt feel like a real Les Paul. overall its an ok guitar there is a little fret buzz and the pick ups arent amazing but its a good first.

This was my first guitar. I used it a lot and thought it was the best thing ever. When I got my ESP LTD FX-260, I found that this guitar is actually one of the worst on the market next to Squires. If you plan on keeping this, replace everything. The pickups are muddy, the tuners can't hold tune at all, and the sticky paint is really annoying. It's great to learn on, but make sure if you are already serious to get something a little better. The Epiphone SG silverburst is a nice guitar for most players.

this is good guitar if you are starting i bought one as my first guitar when i was like 11 it was awsome but then it started failing , i started felling a buzz on the top, then one knob fell down just like that.
i used it like one year and i had to change it because it was always out of tune and all the other probs.

LP Special II at [$] is a great value. It's a 2 humbucker guitar with single controls and a 3-way switch. The pickups are decent; not fine. But they are humbuckers with height adjustments and polepiece adjustments. A guy with basic knowledge can improve the tone easily buy 15-20%. Set the neck pickup bass side just below the pickup ring top edge and raise the treble side about 1/16". Bring up the bridge pickup bass side about 1/16" and lower or leave the treble side by about 1/16". Use your ear (or get a good player) to find the best sound for each pickup. After that, you can adjust the polepieces individually to strengthen or weaken the separate strings. A G or B string can usually take some raising to improve the tone. What you want is string to string balance... not one string that crushes the others.This guitar came set up very well and the nut is cut well. You can get the strings to 1/16" at fret 12 with no rattles if you adjust carefully. I believe light strings (.009-.043 approx.) may be better than .010-.046 that we are used to. Remember that the tailpiece can be raised a bit to allow the guitar to 'sing' more versus strong or more powerful tone. This set of pickups can do some of both and consider lightening the string set and the tailpiece height.It's a very good value, plays well, looks pretty good, smooth and positive tuners and the frets are well done and smooth. Indonesia-made and for the price, a great value. And most of my guitars are fairly high dollar (Bill Crook Tele, Gibson SJ150, Taylor 414CE, etc.). This is a cheap guitar to buy, but the finish and build are better than OK and it does sound good and play really well right off the rack.

well i have been playing for many years and i feel that this is a good fit for me. i'm still just a teen so i don't have enough money to get anything more expensive than this. yet, with the quality of this guitar, i feel like i'm playing a 300-400$ guitar. a great buy.
