Epiphone Goth G400 Electric Guitar (Black)

The devilish silhouette of Epiphone's G-400 has been cloaked in black to create the Goth G-400. The mahogany body has a Plain Black satin finish, as does the headstock, which is adorned with an Epiphone logo and a cross insignia.

Its set neck is also mahogany and has a rosewood fretboard emblazoned with a sinister "XII" inlay at the twelfth fret. Even the hardware is shrouded in shadow--the humbucker pickups, (complete with kill switch lurking in the tone pot!) tuners, bridge and tailpiece are all black. Welcome to the dark side.

I was a bit skeptical at first as there are some quite negative remarks towards this axe, but none the less, I bought it anyway. I love Epiphone, my baby is the Epi Goth Les Paul, I've done many customizations to her, but shes one nasty guitar. Seeing as how I love it so much I figured why not get this puppy too, love the SG body, Iommi is one of my biggest influences. None the less, as soon as I plugged this beast in, my band and I were completely blown away by the type of playing it brought out of me, it's tone is extremely sharp and gurthy, the pickups are loud as hell and their factory settings are literally perfect. I'm quite experianced with the guitar and thought I was going to need to done some work on this thing, the only thing I needed to fix were the strings and the action was crazy high, besides that, she's perfect. I have had zero issues playing it, some people have been saying it's hard to play riffs on it, don't listen to them at all, if you actually know how to play the guitar then you're not going to have many issues at all here. I HIGHLY recomend it!!!!!!! The price is awesome too!!!!

" This guitar is Awsome,whether you measure it in sound or how it look's,straight off,this is a great guitar! This SG look's wonderful in the goth series, and sounds equally as impressive! Not only dose this guitar look and sound great ,but it just feels fabulous in your hands! I should know, being a well known guitar dealer here in the Flathead Valley for over 12 years,and a very expierenced guitar player my self I can honestly say that this little guitar is a must have for beginners, to guru guitarrists everywhere!A little more conservitive in style than the B.C. Rich ""Warlock,""I have no choice but to give this fine guitar a very respectable, 5 out of 5!!!"

"Well I have played this a few times, and I just couldn't find out what was so great about it. It's a average guitar, but I found it was alittle hard to play riffs, the sound wasn't to great, but it was good. I found a huge change from the Epiphone SG Goth to the Gibson SG Gothic...but who wouldn't? If you want a SG Gothic, definatly save up for the Gibson, the Epiphone isn't worth buying. I will give it a average score though."
