This is one of the best starter guitars out there. I've had mine for over 3 years and theres has never been any problems with it. The electronics are great, the humbuckers have a nice sound to them. Stays in tune very well. Its very light compared to a Les Paul, so its comfortable to play standing up. After you start playing gigs, you may want to buy new tuners, pickups, etc, but for practicing at home its fine. Overall this is a very good buy, well worth the money.

This guitar is great. it is constructed very well and does not make any un-wanted noises. the only problem i have had is that the little hex nut that holds the out put jack in-place fell off in the case i called epiphone (gibson) coustomer service and they shipped one out to me priority FOR FREE. I would buy another cord and strings because they are not the best qualty but other than that this is a good value.

this was my first electric guitar. i wanted a les paul but too much$, so i got this one instead. i thought it wouldnt be as good as the G400, but i was really surprised. i just wish it could have better pickups and different inlays. overall, this guitar is great. i would recommend this to beginners who want a real SG

The guitar is great, even my friend who has the limited edition g-400 said he would steal it! The stock pickups are good, but I might consider changing to an EMG 81/85 set(beginners don't have to worry cause they might not even notice).It's light, plays good, the tuners can stay tuned for long periods of time, cause the last time I had to tune it was a week ago. My only problems are that, when you first get it, it may have fret buzz. That problem is fixed when you lower the bridge from stock. The black one looks waaay better in real life, though scratches aree easy to see on it. Good guitar.

I got this guitar a couple of days ago at the store. I got the black version and it is amazing, internet picures just don't do it. I used to use a fender strat for my band but this one sounds alot better. my friends say that it is bad but it is amazing, whether you're an beginner, intermediate, or an expert, get it. My only problem is that when you get it, it gives you a lot of fret buzz, but all you have to do is lower the bridge.

Good guitar, well made, holds up well, but I'm thinking about getting an Esp KH-202 because when i bought this I knew nothing about guitars and I now want a good metal guitar.
