Just happened by my local Sam Ash store with no intention of buying anything when I noticed the EB0 was on clearance. I had been considering an inexpensive solid body to back up my hollow body bass. The hollow body is not the most ideal for the snappy-poppy stuff. I was most surprised with the quality and sound of this intrument. The short scale neck fits my hands well and the weight is not bad for a solid body. I will be gigging with this bass very often.

With the price, it would also be a great starter instrument for new players.

I've been playing for a few years, not long enough to really be considered "experienced", but the EB0 is probably the best bass I own in this cost range. It's a solid bass, nice and comfortable, and the short scale is something I like, because my hands are smallish.

The tone of the bass is comparable to a P-bass, with a nice chunky humbucker right at the top of the neck in a nice sweet spot and has a nice and warm sound that is great when Nylon Tapewounds or flatwounds are added to the bass, however, it can get a good bit of punch if you play with Stainless Steel Roundwounds as well. I typically play with Fender Tapewounds or Elixer Roundwounds, depending on what I'm expected to do.

The deep sound is perfect for Rock and Metal. I play in a Shoegaze band, and it's got a good sound that compliments the rest of the band perfectly, but is still rather distinctive under the effects used by the guitars and of course, my own, when I play this, I know it's my EB0, instead of my J-Bass or my Ibanez 5-string soundgear even under Distortion and a Ring Modulator.

I highly recommend this bass to anybody who needs a short scale bass that is solid, deep sounding and a pleasure to play in a live setting, it's a distinctive bass in looks, sound and is easy on the wallet, what's not to like?

i got this bass for christmas a few years ago and it is fantastic. it sounded great straight from the box and has a good feel to it when im playing. it is the perfect bass if you are just beginning to play and it's still a brilliant instrument if you are more experienced

Strings hit frets often when strumming. Easily comes out of tune. Flat sound. Should use for practicing purposes only.

I don't own it but, I played it once at my local music shop. It's huge humbucker gives a good solid tone sorta like a P pickup only deeper, I am really a pick player but, at the time I didn't have one on me so I used my fingers man it was deep. I thing this bass is great it has solid woods, great pickup and electronics and a really cool SG shape that metalhead punks like me lust after. Here's it's only flaw it's short scale (30" instead of 34").

This is a great bass if you like to play funk, i like to slap with my bass a lot, but it can be also for any other genre of rock, so its a great bass and just go [...] try it i did and i love it.
