This was my first guitar. I started playing almost a year ago, and this guitar has taken my constant, and sometimes rowdy, practicing. The neck feels great in your hands, but you ABSOLUTELY MUST change the strings before you play. Of course it helped to form my calluses, but the stiff strings make it difficult to play for a beginner. I must admit that my obsessive playing has taken me farther than most people get in twice the time I've been playing, and this guitar has taken me through it.

I've had this guitar for about a year. It's your basic cheap acoustic. I purchased it as a replacement for another cheap acoustic that broke under everyday use, and this one suffered the same fate. The gears in one of the tuning machines actually became stripped. Otherwise, the guitar is average, and the tone is somewhat undesirable. At the moment, I'm debating whether or not to replace the tuning machines or just buy a new guitar. I'd recommend buying a higher end epiphone since they have pretty good tone and generally come with grover tuning machines.

I bought this guitar for my niece to learn on . When I received it I have to admit the quality was much more than I expected for the price . The craftmanship was near flawless and did require some fitting to my standards (shaving the saddle and deepening the grooves in the nut for a much faster action and fit ). The sound is awesome and stays in tune nicely . I bought the tobacco sunburst model and she's a beauty , much better looking than the photo . I started out on an inexpensive Epi over 40 years ago and ever though they are made out of country many improvements have been made in the construction and can be witnessed in the outstanding tone and sustain . In closing I will say for the money you can't beat this dreadnaught as a first guitar or as a guitar to kick around with at the beach or parties . If lost or stolen I would not hesitate in a second to replace with another just like it .

This guitar is really nice for the bucks. It has a nice overall look and feel and sounds decent if u change out the strings. It is not difficult to play and it is a great entry level guitar. Ive played other guitars at this price and this one really beats the competition.

I've played this guitar ONCE, for one minute. I would give this guitar to a child.... This guitar is a shame to epiphone, they make some pretty dam good guitars but i guess this is just a fluke.. spend the extra 100-200 dollars for a nice starter guitar. This guitar will not want to make you play guitar, but hate it!!.. two thumbs down!!

I don't understand where all the problems are with this guitar. I've owned it for 2 years and had ZERO issues with it. I mean it's not a Martin or a Huss and Dalton. But it's a GREAT beginner/ intermediate instrument. The sound is rich and warm and if you take care of it like you SHOULD care of an acoustic, (You need a good case and humidifier) and not use it as a boat paddle or a jedi sword you'll have a very fine guitar. I love mine and would VERY MUCH reccomend it to a friend.

This guitar is not worth buying. It has a very flat, clunky sound. And no matter how I mic it up, it records horribly. The action is not very good either. I know some of you may be looking to save some money and trust a name like Epiphone, but believe me, this is not one of their better products. You will be just as disappointed as I am.

If I were you I wouldn't buy this because even though it's pretty and sounds decent, once you use it for a few weeks you realize that it's annoying to play. Someone I know has the same guitar and said they don't like it at all either. When I play my brother's guitar, which is slightly more expensive but not significantly, I am much more comfortable than when i struggle with mine.
