Epiphone Casino Hollow Body Electric Guitar (Assorted Colors)

The Casino is a traditional hollow-body guitar, one of Epiphone's most famous models. Three of the Beatles (John, Paul and George) had Casinos that they played frequently, most notably in the recordings of "Ticket to Ride" and "Hello Goodbye." The Casino features two Alnico-V P90 pickups, trapeze tailpiece, chrome hardware, a bound laminated maple body with a laminated maple top, and a set mahogany neck with a rosewood fingerboard and parallelogram inlays. This guitar is a true classic. Case not included.

very good feel right away, salesman was trying to sway me to a gibson midtown which had a grittier sound but this had a better feel, neck is perfect width for my hand, had owned a sheraton and dot studio in the past but this guitar is much better and with the natural finish a real good looker too, set-up with .10 gauge strings, I'm a semi-pro musician on a budget that needs an ax that is reliable, versatile and stays in tune, the casino fits the bill.

I really like the sound and the feel of this guitar,
but i must guess my settings
because the numbers don't line up with the pointers. The nuts and bolts constantly need tightening.
I like the sound of guitar but I'm gonna return it and try the wildkat.

First let me say that I collect guitars. I own an Gibson ES335, Rickenbacher 325, Gibson 12 String Acoustic, well you get the idea. I think people like Ray have no idea what they are talking about. Maybe he just enjoys bashing guitars. However let me say that the Epiphone Casino is a little of the Beatles for a reasonable price. I have the Natural Casino and love it. Action is good, neck and workmanship is nice, and overall a great guitar for the money. I normally would not buy an Epiphone but this is one guitar with a great reputation. No Humbuckers so you do get that Beatles sound. Buy this guitar, and you will enjoy it. Isn't that the whole idea. Having fun and making some nice music. Remember some people like Ray like to bash guitars, then there are people like me that just enjoying playing the Epiphone Casino. Just buy one and see what I mean.

I Got the Casino VS Today and if you want to sound like the Beatles- This is a must Have! The P-90's are awesome and the guitar itself unplugged sounds great! I think this is the best guitar ever made.

I previous reviewed this guitar badly and rightfully so. I bought one over a yr ago and it was horrible out of the box and I returned it. However, a few months ago I received one as a b-day gift against my wishes from past experience. I was saving up for the Elitist. [...]Totally different then the one I bought. Right out of the box it was playable. Other then tuning, nothing needed to be done. All I can say is, change the strings. I waited a while to write a revised review as I wanted to put it through my ropes. Hardware is solid, feel and sound are good. Please people, this is no Beatle Casino in sound, hardware, and feel. So stop making the reference. However, it is a good guitar and you can get a similar tone. I would recommend this guitar not cause it looks like the Beatle one, but because it has a different tone that's unique and slightly different then a 335. The quality is good [$]you'll get good wear out of it, if you take care of it. I have my eye on the John Lennon inspired casino now.

This guitar resently went up[...] in price. I got one before the price increase. It's a nice and fun guitar to play with a unique sound, though not Beatle. However, the quality had this guitar over priced at $599. At[$] it will be still fun to play, however way over priced. I see myself spending money in the near future replacing tuners, nut and switch. I can't say "if you don't have the money, this guitar is good for the price", cause it isn't. No I didn't get a lemon. I played a few after I bought mine and they were all pretty much the same. Save your money and get an Elitist. That is close to a Lennon guitar and the quality is so much better.

This is an nice guitar and has a nice sound. However, over priced for the quality. The craftsmanship is ok and parts are not the best. [$] I have a es 335 copy by D'Agastino that is 25 yrs old with original parts that is better then the casino new. Sorry for the bad review, it's just not worth the price.
