The Electro-Voice ® SxA100+ sets a new standard for powered speakers. Its design provides the user multiple inputs with mix capability, an easy to use EQ section, and plenty of power in very compact, attractive package. This is a full range loudspeaker ideal for most applications requiring high-quality sound. Careful attention to the dynamic requirements of music guided the amplifier design to provide high SPL without excessive heat. The high quality microphone preamplifier provides great sounding vocals or speech. A master level control sets the desired SPL, and the line input can be mixed and balanced with a microphone with its level control. Its linear response is easily optimized for speech or music with the on board multiband equalization.

EXTREMELY AWESOME EQUIPMENT!!!!!! For the price of these speakers, they put out some high quality sound and they CRANK for what they are! I bought two of these units and two accommodating powered sub woofers. The reason I decided to finally go with the "self-powered" cabinets was 1. to decrease set up time, 2. Majorly decreased amount of equipment/ rack space I needed just to run my cabinets. I will say EV definitely outdid themselves with these units. My only complaint, and this is not due to bad manufacturing or bad on EV's part in any way; each individual speaker obviously needs its own power source. So in short, if I run four combos (SXA100's and the accompanying subwoofer) I need four different power runs. AGAIN, this is obvious due to the type of cabinets they are, however it is a downfall when power sources are scarce. It would be cool if EV could create a way to "Daisy Chain" the power along with the data signal. This accomplishment would be difficult due to the AC line noise, but nevertheless would be much more easier. EITHER WAY, AWESOME JOB ELECTRO VOICE!! I WOULD RECOMMEND to anyone looking to accomplish the same things I did!

Found speakers to be great for small to medium size room. I use them for live gigs with a 5 piece band and had no problems.The vocals were clear and the keyboards had punch.

I currently own 4 of these speakers. I must admit for smaller events I love them. When doing events of 300+ I tend to not like them so much. For house parties, monitors, vocal applications, weddings, background music, and small parties they do fine. I don't like that they do not have a low cut on them so using them with subs you must have a crossover if the sub doesn't have one built in. I also don't like that of my 4 I have had 2 mess up. Haven't had a chance to get them looked at so I am not sure the problem but on both of them you only hear highs. I don't think the woofer is blown however so like I said I need to have them looked at. The price on these tops increased from when I bought them so now I probably would not buy another pair but overall I like them. If you are a DJ and looking for just 2 tops that can handle almost any gig you do I would save up and get the Zx5a which is what I am in the process of doing.

We use two (2) of these for our mains on the poles and one (1) as a monitor on the floor. Position the monitor correctly and it covers both singers and the drummer well for us. We will definitely be adding more as we can afford them. Sound quality has been excellent for us; no complaints.
Easy to lug around and transport. Very pleased.

I purchased these speakers about a month and a half ago and I have not been disappointed. I DJ at a fairly good size bar 2 nights a week and they fill the room without a problem. The sound quality is amazing and setup is a breeze.

The cabinets are replacement for JBL EON 15. The convenience of not having to carry any amps and still deliver the desired music punch with clarity and style. Low volume enjoyment and definition or full blast quality still defines the music lows and highs extremely well. Use with or without stands. The cabinets are resistant to mild rough handling and easy cleaning. Need additional mics? One per speaker and any additional thru your mixer, what a party. I cannot imagine being without EV SXA 100 plus at the next party. Extremely satisfied I will give a five star rating to the next level of EV speakers I always get good comments from customers and friends. Well worth the money if on a limited budget, the old saying expend a little more but you get great stuff.

I was really expecting a great product. Very disappointing. Speaker breaks up at low volumes even with vocals let alone music. They are fairly light weight to carry, however. Would not recommend for large rooms.
