I bought the tube in the Sam Ash Huntington, NY store as a replacement for the factory 12AX7 in my Fender Champ XD practice amp. Tone got richer and the tube has more gain than the OEM tube but there was a very early breakup on the lower E string that made playing at low distortion levels challenging. There must be better tubes out there.
