I picked this guitar up a little less than two years ago and it has never failed me. I am in a small metal band and i use this guitar A LOT. The guitar is very durable, and can take any abuse you throw at it (outside of purposefully abusing the thing). It is extremely well built, plays amazing, feels amazing and has an awesome tone for hard rock/heavy metal. The floyd rose and string locks work flawlessly. I have yet to have a problem with them and have never really needed to retune the guitar, no matter how much I use the floyd rose. the only time that I actually have to tune it is when there is a dramatic change in temperature but that is expected with all guitars. This is probably one of the best guitars for hard rock/heavy metal you can get in the price range. The only other thing I could compare it to is a nice schecter or dean. My only complaint is having two emg 81's rather than the 81 and 85 combo, and there is some e string buzz. other than that, this is one heck of a guitar!

I bought this guitar 3 weeks ago, I reserved via phone because I live in Chile, all I can say of this guitar is that it's perfect! I don't know why people change the active emg pickups, they are used to hearing basic sound. I already got used to these pickups

I compared this guitar to it's more expensive counterpart, the ESP M-II. I found no difference at all and the M-II is $1000 more expensive. It will always stay in tune, tapping and sweeping is made easy, and the pickups sound amazing. Reaching the upper frets is simple due to it's thru design. There is fret buzz, but it's very hard to notice.

This thing is great. It sounds, looks, and plays great. I have the snow white finish. It is a beuatiful guitar. If this is a cheap version of an ESP, then ESP must be the absolute BEST guitars ever known to man, because this thing is... is... is... i cant even find words to describe it. The emgs are crazy. The floyd is great. There is a lot of fret buzz, but with a floyd that is something that comes natural with low action, and i mean looooooow action. speed tapping with a pick is effortless. which is something i could never do. I can create pinch harmonics on any fret of any string, something else i could never do. just make sure you get ti set up. I got mine basically as a gift, so i wasnt there when it was purchased. MAKE SURE YOU GET IT SET UP. it sounds great and is playable with out being set up, but if you want to use the floyd at all you have to have it set up.

this thing is perfect. i know every one elses review sounds exactly the same, but that should tell you something... that it is great. It sounds amazing. It feels amazing. I cant stress enough how much you NEED this guitar. The absolutley ONLY thing that could make it better would be a killswitch or extra volume knob, but it is not a drawback, it would just boost it from 100% to 110%.

This guitar is simply the best you can buy for the price it carries. I looked around for a long time for my next guitar. I looked at jacksons, schecters, and other esp's and I went with the m-1000. Lets start with the beginning. The see-thru black flamed maple top finish is one of the sexiest finishes on any guitar. The reverse headstock is completely metal. The abalone inlay is simply beautiful. Neck-thru is the best way you can go. The thing looks freakin beautiful. So...First of all, the floyd rose original bridge is awesome. You can bang the hell out of it and it stays perfectly in tune. Second, the emg 81 in the bridge is almost perfect for any kind of metal or rock. Despite most reviews, the 81 in the neck position sounds pretty fat for leads. It may not be the best, but it sounds pretty good. The neck and fretboard plays like nothing else I've ever touched. The tuners are high quality.Basically, there is nothing bad about this guitar. The only thing that is so-so is the neck pickup, and its still good. You can change it if you feel the need.I feel that this is the best guitar for [$] and I think this is one of the best guitars for metal players.I read alot of reviews and researched my stuff, and this is the best I could find. After playing it for a month, I am not dissapointed whatsoever. JUST BUY IT AND YOULL BE HAPPY!!!!!

Ok this guitar is great! The licensed floyed rose is incredibly durable! My only faulty thought about this was the pickups. I was playing this bad boy through a peavey 6505 head and sounded great, except for the neck 81 emg. For some reason the crunch of the pickup was just horrible (sounded brittle and broken). When i switched over to the bridge emg 81 it was so durable! So crisp for solos yet so raunchy (yeah couldn't think of a better word to describe my feelings)for the rhythms on the same pickups. Well i don't know why i was experiencing this! Anyone wanna give me an idea? Well that asides, it is beautiful and great!

I have just bought this guitar today and it is great! I was worried about the floyd rose getting it out of tune but it doesnt!The only problem with it is that there is a little fret buzz on the low e string.You can barely hear it with all the distortion you will probably, but if you are playing clean you will probably hear it if you are strumming too hard.

Another great creation from ESP. The M-1000 is a great guitar, can't get any better. The neck-thru contstruction provides great sustain, and the alder body is lightweight and gives great tone. The flame maple top looks great, and if this is one you think might look purple in low light, it really doesn't. It looks black, I don't know what people are talking about.This guitar comes loaded with grover turners, floyd rose, and emg 81's right when you buy it. can't get any better than that. This guitar is great for any kind of rock. It has crisp highs, solid mids, and clear lows. On most guitars, you could be throwing down lower bar chords and not have any idea what note you are playing. With this guitar, I get great sound with distict notes at all times. Another great thing about this guitar is the fact that it seems to come perfectly stacked. No modification is needed, hardly any adjustment is required. It comes with everything you could ever want, I will probably not change anything at all besides the tuning. (if you play metal or are merely comfortable with heavier gauge strings, you may want to replace those of course.) But that is inevitable anyway.Lastly, this guitar simply looks great. It is better looking than most custom shop models. For the price, you can't get any better. I was going to order a custom shop from ESP's website almost identical to this guitar, and the price ended up somewhere around 5k$. This, however, is exactly what I wanted for only around [$] The reversed headstock, the unique (abalone?) arrowhead inlays, and the floyd rose really give this guitar a abstract, wicked look.Everything about this guitar is perfect, I will probably never use another guitar other than this one. I've owner ibanez, etc, and no other guitar I've owned can touch this. This is the single greatest guitar you can buy for that price. I highly recommend if you play any kind of rock or metal.If you got all the way to the bottom, thanks for reading the novel. But I just can't put this thing down.
