ESP LTD D5 5 String Bass (Natural Stain)

The ESP D5 starts with a beautifully balanced, contoured body made of Merbau paired with a 5-piece Mahogany/Maple neck featuring ESP's extra-thin, u-shape profile, 24 XJ frets, Rosewood fingerboard and offset Abalone dot inlays. Equipped with a set of ESP SB-5 pickups governed by the ABQ3 active, 3-band EQ and Volume and Balance controls. The D4 gets stellar sustain form neck-thru-body construction and the ESP BB-605 bridge with string-thru-body design. Additional features include Grover tuners and black nickel hardware. Case not included.

I've been playing for 35+years,and have owned and still own top quality basses.(MM stingray, Fender Jazz,Spector and even PRS)and have always played 4 string. I finally decided to go 5 and I'm loving it. This bass makes it so easy. I purchased it and a week later played it at our Sunday morning service like it had been my main bass for years. The playability, feel, tone, looks and versitility is top notch.

This has to be one of the best feeling basses I have played, and I have played a lot. If you did not look at the price before playing it, you would swear this was a $1000 bass. It has a bright, crisp, punchy tone on the highs with a nice deep rumble on the low B. The 3 band active EQ allows all types of tones to fit all musical styles. The neck is smooth and fast with a small radius which makes it easier to play for smaller hands. This is the real deal, and the pictures don't do it justice. Mine did need to be set up when I got it, so you should expect to do that first. It has a 2 way adjustable truss rod for proper neck adjustments. I have been VERY pleased with this bass.
