The lightweight voice coil construction and rigid dome diaphragm provide both extended high frequency performance and a hard wearing capsule assembly. Also suitable for drum miking, particularly toms, where the microphone's profile allows the capsule to be positioned close to the drum skin.

I used this mike to run to the PA from my amp. I played an acoustic thru a vintage Vox.It works perfect, no distortion or shading of sound. Full bass response,no clipping. I got an acoustic amp so our lead player uses it now. He loves it.

These are excellent mic's for toms, You can find micing info for drums that suggest 409's as great tom mic's, this is the new version. They take alittle eq-ing but once your there your there!

I use this microphone for recording and live applications . I use a SM57 along with this MIC it has a nice deep tone to it. It is made for close miking with a cabinet and it's also built well.
