i love the black ones. they seem just a little stiffer. they have been reviewed in Guitar One magazine. they are accurate, but the red ones seem to make me have more mistakes.

It is the best pick ever. The black is better because it is thicker. It is like the energy is going direct from your hand to the string, no lag time.It won't slip from your hand no matter how hard you play.

When I first started out I used Fender picks then I started to try out other brands till I came across Dunlop I tried their medium picks and noticed they were simply amaizing for acustics, but my problem was that I wanted speed on my electric guitar it was not until I got Dunlop's Jazz III picks I thought all along it was just me, I couldn't reach the great speeds I wanted and I would mess up even on the most basic things, right after I tried Jazz III i wanted to marry it, I just love the comfortable grip and how much it allows me to pretty much play around the guitar without messing up, it was a huge difference for me, its also very comfortable for soloing, great, great product I really recommend it!

"After a year of playing with the black Jazz III's everything else just feels huge and awkward. The grip of these picks is unmatched. Its the only pick I've played that doesnt slip around so you're playing with the side or the butt of it. They have a great sound for jazz too, they've given me that amazing clear ""Grant Green"" tone."
