Level (Loud) - controls the distortion output of your guitar signal.

Low - adjusts boost and cut of bass frequencies.

High - adjusts boost and cut of high frequencies.

Gain (Grunge) - controls distortion gain from moderate to extreme.

Dual Outputs - The Amp output is for connecting directly to a guitar amplifier. The Mixer output’s Cabinet Emulation circuitry lets you connect directly to a mixing board or recording device.

This thing can't make a grunge sound at all. It's definitely more for hardcore music. I can sometimes find a use for it though, it can get a decent crunch, but it's pretty noisy. I mean, I guess you do get what you pay for.

I bought this pedal used at a Buddy Rogers. It was only [$] so I figured it was a good buy. I turned out to be right. I rarely use it for the grunge part, because I can really get any kind of alternative, rock, rock, metal, or just light distortion. it gets really good Metallica stuff especially.

I love grunge and this is the pedal to get if you do. this pedal sounds great no matter if you have a junk amp or a professional amp. The feedback is not that bad. This was my first pedal and i will always have on my pedal board.

For an inexpensive pedal, this sounds really good. It's called "grunge" but it can make a good metal sound, which is what I like it for. I record with this; it has a mixer line out which i plug into my 4 track. Live, I'm using my old Crate amp's distortion right now but I think I'm gonna play around with this next session and see what I can conjure out of it through my clean channel.

The guy below me says its to noisey. It can be noisey if you have the amp up too high. But thats about all. This pedal will not let you down. When i first tryed it in the store i was blown away. Once i brought it home and played my seven string on it, i was even more surprised. It gives the best metal, chunky, heavey riff sound ever. And the best part is, its at a low price. This pedal could not be better. Im considering on buying a back up one just in case.

well the look of this thing made me feel like this was some plastic little box, but i opend the box and was suprised that it was all metal. the only bad thing about this is that its pretty noisy you might need to run a noise limiter after this, the more loud you use and the grunge effects use it puts out a bunch of hissing noise!!!

All Digitech mutiprocessors--RP and GNX units-- the Whammy, and the JamMan, have a one year warranty from the manufacturer. All X-Series pedals and analog distortions(Bad Monkey, etc.)have a one year warranty, but if the new owner registers online at digitech.com, the warranty goes to 5 years on the X-Series and analog distortions only.
