Comments about Dean ML Metalman 4 String Bass (Black):
My buddy purchased this bass and I could not wait to try it. It seems well made and solid, but I could not get comfortable with the neck. It was too thick for me and the body felt boxy. It is a great bass, I just am not willing to get one with the neck being so thick on my stubby fingers. It was set up well and needed no work done on it other than intonation becouse of the different string guages put on.

Comments about Dean ML Metalman 4 String Bass (Black):
Been playing for years, and I've played them all. This is NOT a beginner bass. You need some big hands to play it. The neck on this thing is huge. The frets are really big, and positioning it comfortably can be difficult. The sound is great, but there are only 2 volume knobs, so forget about changing up your sound. All together, it's a sharp looking bass, with a decent sound. But trust me, some people are gonna find this bass hard to play

Comments about Dean ML Metalman 4 String Bass (Black):
when i was in the market for a new bass the ML caught my eye. i had always liked the sound of dimebags mls and other deans with it. I asked a sales assosiate to get it off the wall and then i plugged it in. it had one of the deepest sounding metal tones in the store. the shape is awsome, it doesent get in your way, it isn't a heavy bass either. It has a bit of an extended neck compaired to others. all in all it is a good bass. only thing i didnt like was the pick ups were a little cheap but still good for a gig, definently good for a gig.

Comments about Dean ML Metalman 4 String Bass (Black):
I bought this bass early January when i was having trouble with my old gibson. it was the best deal out of all i could find. I knew of some great muscicians that play Deans so i went to [...] to try it out. The second i picked it up i noticed how light it was, as i straped it on and began to play i relized how great of a body this thing had. it has a space on the bottom for your knee or leg it has the fins that look cool to begin with and give good leg placement for wild windmilling. The sound was good in the amp i had it in, It picks up good with distortion on, but you really cant hammer on on it, its not really sensitive enough to pick it up. all in all as long as you use distortion its great.
