Sounds great for live or at rehearsal if you are looking for that Pantera-esk clicky bass drum sound. I am often asked if my kick is triggered. Forces you to work harder because your kick has definition. Do not even bothering using the adhesive on the pad. Just get some good tape and slap it on (preferably that fabric tape for wrapping hocky sticks). The first one I bought broke after 3 years of using it and I play a lot of double bass. I thought that was a pretty long life span!

Sounds great, but only works with hard beaters ... after about 5 minutes it was warped so bad it wouldn't stick to the head anymore, and it was cracked on the right side.
