The Womanizer embodies a broad range of tones coveted by generations of classic rock guitarists. With pure Class A Distortion powered by cascading tube gain-stage circuits, the dual 12AX7 topology is bursting at the seams with unbridled sonic juice. The overdrive section cries out with all the beautiful and emotive tonal character that any journeyman could desire, while its multiple sonic moods can speak softly from a delicate and subtle whisper to a fat and frenzied scream of emotion. Like the Demonizer, the Womanizer is also equipped with analog Opto-compression, pre/post EQ, and magic eye biofeedback meter. The Womanizer's absurd range of analog tube tones and customization is unmatched.
Dual 12ax7 Tubes
The Womanizer’s high-voltage tube circuits emphasize the subtleties and nuances of pure tube clipping and distortion. The 12AX7’s are configured as four cascading stages of gain, ranging from ultra clean to classic heavy, and everything in between. Soft-clipped fat jazz, super clean and glassy rhythm, screaming blues solos, powerhouse rock ‘n roll - it’s all possible with the Womanizer, powered by the tubes that have defined the sound of amplified guitar for over 50 years.
Analog Opto-Compressor
The Womanizer employs the same analog opto-compression circuitry found in its irascible brother, the Demonizer. Coupled with the Womanizer’s tube drive circuitry, the opto-compression lets you control the touch-dynamics of the tube gain stages, ranging from superb touch-sensitive clipping, to sophisticated smooth-clipped overdrive.
Comprehensive EQ
The Pre-gain and Post-gain tone shaping of the Womanizer is optimized to provide the widest range of useful, musical tones. Pre EQ allows you to boost or cut pre-distortion frequencies that are adjustable from 200 Hz to 1 KHz, by as much as +/-20 dB. The Post EQ circuit is a dual-concentric active Bass and Treble control with a very generous +/-20 dB range, letting you get the specific sound you’re looking for in front of any amp. The EQ sections work in harmony with the tube gain stages and analog opto-compression to provide a broad range of superior tones for you to create with.
Direct Recording Output
To complement the Womanizer’s classic array of tones, an open-back 1x12 cabinet simulation was chosen. The meticulous analysis and resulting advanced analog network captures the looser response and open projection that continues to make the open-back 1x12 the choice for many high-end, boutique, and retro-styled combos.
