The bridge pickup features height staggered magnets and a copper plated steel bottom plate for increased output, presence and midrange, while the nickel-silver cover on the neck pickup produces a clear warm tone that only a true Custom Shop Tele pickup can do. I put those into my Squier Tele last week (yes they fit). What a sound! No the guitar actually sounds like a..true Telecaster.. Even my wife good hear the difference! :-) As mentioned already in previous reviews the wiring needs special attention if you are planning on putting them in yourself! Good stuff.

Thank God for the review on how to install these.

Dropped these in my Mexi Tele and I now have a new guitar!

I had SD stacked pups in there and they did the job for 15 years. When one of them bit the dust I decided to try something new. After some research I settled on these.

They make a Tele what a Tele is supposed to be! Wait till you hear the WHACK! The neck is smooth as silk.

You won't be able to put your guitar down...

I bought a set of the pickups to replace the ones that came in my Highway One Tele. I gave a 1 for features because the wiring diagram is for a 4 way switch that they dont bother to tell you. These now come with 3 wires out of the neck pickup which shows the white to the switch and the black to the switch and a yellow to the pot. The bridge shows white to switch (the wire is yellow) and black to pot, which is right.I called Fender and the best the rep there could come up with is: I guess you wire it the way the diagram shows. Here is the right way to wire them for a standard 3 way switch: white to switch, black (which is the coil ground) and the yellow ( which is a chassis ground) both go to the pot with the black (coil ground)from the bridge pickup. I got this info from my tech that got it from his contact at Fender. You would think that Fender would have the forthought to include a diagram that shows both 3 and 4 way switch wiring as much as they charge for these. The pickups are a great upgrade over the stock pickups. Oh and another thing, the screws they give you for the neck pickup are the ones for srewing the pickup into the body. If you dont have you stock screws you can use humbucker screws or grind the ends off a little. I hope this gets posted in hopes that it will help someone else so they dont have the hassel I did.
