Unbelivable bass from a small amp, thanks to a heavy duty speaker and tuned ports.Very quiet running wide range for each tone control.Amp models are excellent,Dyna Amp is very tube like.
The effects and Delay/Reverb are decent and have more levels than most amps.Works well with Les Paul,Strat,Soapbar and acoustic electrics.Has enough bells and whistles for the gear hound in me and great sound for the musician also.

This is a great product of roland. One detail most people miss about this amp is that its "cousin" the cube 60, is almost exactly the same, the only difference is the cube 30 doesnt have a "prescense" dial, and [the cube 30] is about $100 - $150 less. For its size and price this amp has just got so many great effects, including the classic stack and metal stacks, theres also plenty of reverb controls and even an acoustic simulator which sounds really good. Another good quality about this amp is its very loud, and its loud enough to play over drums for bands, but also its good for just practicing alone or playing by yourself.

I have owned the Roland Cube 30 for about 10 years ,and never had a problem with it.I play it every day.I've tried playing many amps at the local guitar stores and cant find anything better,even amps costing 3or 4 times more expensive!The small size has no beering on its sound capabilities.Unlike vintage tube amps you are really stuck with one tone,one sound,this amp however gives you many various sounds.Keep up the good work Roland.

I have been playing Guitar for over twenty five years. I have worked for Gibson USA, A.D.A., and Digitech to name a few. I have seen many differant aproaches to how a pre-amp section can be modeled and some have been sounds that make and shape differant genre's. When I started to get older and my need for large amplification systems were not necessary since I rarely play gigs out that much anymore. I knew I needed something to fill the void. Although the need for a quality amp is still very important to me infact, since I have decided to teach its extremly important to set a good example for my students. It's very important to me that I have adequate sounding amplification for my students. This amp really takes first place in the combo amplification systems catagorey. First off I have came to this conclusion based on countless hours of research and testing. I have tried every amp from $50 to $350 dollars and i didn't come to this decision easily. I have tried Peavys, Fenders, Marshalls, vox's, Line 6, Behringer, Carvin, Crate, and even Orange along with many others. I kept comming back to the Roland cube 30x it is a fantastic little amp thats puts out incredible sound and has a very easy to use control panel, evrthing is well thought out and it is by far the only combo amp I would let my students learn on.. If the price tag is a little to high and it is something that is impossible for you to buy then go with the Micro cube it would be my second choice. I hope this helps ease your mind because no matter who you are or what level you play at when it comes to spending hard earned money then one needs to know they are spending it on the right thing..
