Casio WK-500 76 Key Portable Keyboard

The Casio WK-500 is a musical and technological wonder, yet its simplicity and affordability makes it a great deal through and through. It has 76 touch-sensitive, piano-style keys and a healthy 670 tones. The 200 built-in rhythms are ready to go out of the box for auto-accompaniment as well as a songwriting aid, but there are also 10 rhythms that you can edit to your liking. The pitch-bend wheel goes from 0 to 12 semitones. The 48-note polyphony should cover your needs in a full-song performance. There are 10 reverbs and 5 chorus types to choose from, giving your sounds some sparkle and polish.

The built-in lessons make this a great beginner’s keyboard too, but send a pair of ¼” instrument cables out from the back to a PA system and you’ll be pleasantly surprised at just how pro this keyboard sounds! You can record your song ideas with the onboard 6-track recorder allowing for 5 different songs. The line and microphone inputs will allow you to be a one-man (or woman) band complete with vocals, all coming out of the Casio WK500’s built-in speakers.

An onboard sampler allowing for 10 seconds of sampling time adds fun and functionality to an already feature-loaded instrument. The SD card slot will store your songs and ideas up to 2 GB. Additional features include a built-in arpeggiator, auto-harmonize function, one-touch presets, keyboard split and layer, 2 selectable modes of touch-response and 152 built-in songs (expandable via the onboard USB port).

The Casio WK-500 is lightweight, runs on the included AC adaptor or 6 D-size batteries (purchased separately). Take it to the gig!
