"The SVT from Carlo Robelli may just be the best electric guitar value. With it's unique sculpted body design and triple-ply pick guard it's a great looking guitar. The combination of a humbucker pickup and two single coil pickups combined with a 5-way switch make it a great sounding guitar. Finally, the slim maple neck and fast playing rosewood fingerboard make it great playing guitar!You really couldn't expect much more for a guitar that sells for under a $100, but get this: the SVT comes with a traditional-style non-locking tremolo system, dual tone controls, dot inlay markers and sealed chrome tuners! "Let me be honest up front. You will not mistake this guitar for a Fender SRV model. However, as a beginers guitar, there is arguably no better choice. I played this guitar side by side with a Squier, Epiphone Basher, and similarly priced Ibanez. Running through a Fender Frontman 15 the Carlo was a killer. For Blues, Rock, R&B, Country, and Funk the Carlo was easly the best value of the bunch. The only music I couldn't convincingly pull off was Metal. For that the Ibanez is somewhat better suited. The neck is suprisingly fast with an easy action. The tone and volume controls are well placed and the 5-way switch flicks with the greatest of easy. Packaged with a $49-$79 dollar amp you have a package for beginers that is cheaper and better than most name brands. Don't gt me wrong though, this guitar is also a great back up piece for experienced players that don't want to pull out their show piece every time they practice. "

"[...]I wasn't expecting much, I figured at the least it would make a good guitar to leave over at my drummers house so I didn't have to haul one back and forth. However, I was really impressed. I run this guitar through my GNX3 into a Peavey Bandit 112. I find I can get an excellent ""Sunshine Of Your Love"" tone out of this guitar, and really a good general tone to play blues with. The humbucker may not be great, but I do like the neck pickup's sound. It was fortunate that I got this with my explorer, because the tones the explorer can't get, this can, and vice versa. It's a very easy to play guitar to me, but I'm not too picky about neck widths. All in all if this guitar were broken, I would definitely pay the [...]to get another, it has excellent blues tone, and if you dial in your pedals, you can get that humbucker to sound decent too. 4 stars for value/sound ratio."

"Here's what I thought about this guitar: If you're a beginner, you will not be let down. It great tone for such an inexpensive guitar. The downside: while the tone may be good, if you are a seasoned player you will be disappointed with the humbucker. It has the tendency to become a bit muddy. Also, while for the most part this guitar is well put together, you might be disappointed with the neck as I found it a bit harsh on my hands and unusually wide. Also, the humbucker is very easy to move around (it isn't on there very well). Please don't let this review keep you from buying this guitar. I am a fairly experienced player so after playing a MIM strat you can understand my criticism... To sum things up, this guitar is AWESOME compared to any Squier fat strat you might find. "
